INTRODUCTION TO RISK MANAGEMENT

This course is designed to provide individuals that are new to project management a working knowledge of the tools, techniques, processes and materials involved in managing risk. 

  • Students are taught the application of risk management as it pertains to government and commercial projects. 

  • Case studies, questions, and class exercises are designed to provide real world application of risk management tools and techniques. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Students new to project management will be able to explain key risk management terminology and define the benefits of a risk management program.

  • Students will be able to identify agile risk management principles.

  • Students will be able to define the components used in the Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) process.

  • Students will be able to identify how risk management principles apply to their everyday work.
