As the Prime contractor on CPSS PP&C, MTS provides NASA with Program Planning and Control and Subject Matter Expertise program support at multiple Centers. We assist in solving complex issues in the areas of program control, program integration, schedule integration, logistics, systems integration, risk management, cost estimating and analysis, and operations. We provide strategic planning; perform independent assessments; develop, integrate, and maintain program schedules; perform financial and program lifecycle analysis; provide key program milestone review support, and program management. Our recognized industry experts support technical reviews, perform fault analysis, conduct failure reviews, and participate in special studies.
Since 2006, MTS has provided engineering services to NASA at Johnson Space Center (on the JETS contract as well as its predecessor) covering a broad range of disciplines that include: structural aerospace loads, avionics, thermal and environmental systems, robotics, spacecraft window design, cold stowage, life support, electromagnetic interference, electronics, aerodynamic/aeroheating, and materials analysis. Our engineers perform mechanical, structural, and electrical design for Orion, the International Space Station (ISS), Gateway, the Commercial Crew Program and other space systems. A few of the projects we have supported include: ISS vibration isolation exercise equipment, crew quarters, and Habitat Air Lock; Robonaut design; Orion structural analysis; life support, cameras and batteries for the XEMU space suit; and robotics on the Neutral Buoyancy Lab Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS) and Schilling arms.
Through SRACES, MTS provides support to the Office of Strategic Analysis and Communications (OSAC) with services key in implementing and maintaining NASA’s overall communication strategy. This includes clearly and consistently communicating NASA’s strategic vision to both internal and external stakeholders.
MTS supported the office of the Chief Financial Officer and the Project Directorate Office at Stennis Space Center by providing resource management support, financial management support, risk assessment, scheduling support, configuration management and data management service.
At NASA Headquarters, DATSS provides general data analysis and technical support services for multiple offices, programs and initiatives, primarily supporting NASA Mission Directorates. MTS provides programmatic support to the Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Astrophysics Division (APD), delivering program and knowledge management services through independent assessment, communication, and knowledge management activities.
SEAM II provides NASA/JSC Flight Operations Directorate with a wide range of engineering services and solutions to design, develop, test, and evaluate new hardware, address system and component obsolescence, and support the sustainment, alteration, and improvement of the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory, Space Vehicle Mockup Facility, Mission Control Center, Space Station Training Facility, mock-ups, trainers, aircraft, aircraft programs, projects, activities, and other JSC and NASA projects.
The Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation (ESSCA) contract provides engineering expertise to support the U.S. space exploration program. MSFC develops spaceflight hardware for both human spaceflight and robotic missions and designs instruments critical to scientific discovery and understanding. Our employees provide Systems Engineering and Management services as well as Structures and Environment discipline support to the SLS Systems Engineering and Integration Office (SEIO). We also provide governance assessment and expertise to the Technology Demonstrations Mission (TDM) Program Office and technical Subject Matter Expertise to the Mars Ascent Vehicle Project.
For the United States Air Force, MTS supports highly complex issues involving state-of-the-art air-to-air weapon systems and weapon system upgrades for the AMRAAM. We provide expertise in advanced and innovative manufacturing and production processes and test techniques and advise and assist the Government and prime contractor on potential alternatives. In doing so, we analyze depot repair processes; evaluate sustainability based on repair/replace/refurbish; perform FMS payment analysis; evaluate short-and-long term obsolescence; and review funding strategies for diminishing stores.
For the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), MTS supports the Director of Test Resources (DTR), working with test ranges in the preparation and conduction of MDA flight tests. Our engineers provide: program and financial management, concept exploration, technology development, engineering and manufacturing, test mission planning and execution, logistics, quality, reliability, and sustainment of MDA/DTR flight test assets. We support mobile instrumentation systems that provide real-time range safety data and long-range, high data rate telemetry collection, processing, and data transmission for real-time Flight Termination System health and status measurements. We also provide acquisition and program management support to the MDA Acquisition Directorate.
For the Army, MTS performs systems engineering and Software Life Cycle Development (SLCD) support within the domain of battlefield systems for the Software Engineering Directorate (SED), Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (USA RDECOM) for the entire lifecycle of systems for which SED has responsibility.
For the Army, MTS provides Cost Estimating and Analysis support for the Army Program Executive Office Aviation (PEO AVN) Unmanned Aircraft Systems Project Office (UASPO). The PEO AVN support includes working on projects, systems, subsystems, components, and support equipment to enable the PEO AVN program managers to develop capability, increase availability, improve reliability, and reduce the support costs of UAS programs.
MTS is positioned to provide services under the Navy SeaPort-NxG procurement vehicle as a prime contractor. SeaPort-NxG is the Navy's electronic platform for acquiring support services in 23 functional areas including Engineering, Financial Management, and Program Management. The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Military Sealift Command (MSC), and the United States Marine Corps (USMC) compete their service requirements amongst 1800+ SeaPort-NxG Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract holders.
MTS is positioned to support NOAA’s National Ocean Service (NOS) through the ProTech-Oceans domain. This includes providing science-based solutions through collaborative partnerships with industry to address evolving economic, environmental, and social pressures on our ocean and coasts.
Through the US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services (EXPRESS), MTS serves on teams positioned to provide services in the logistics, business and analytical, programmatic and technical domains.
MTS holds an award in the General Services Administration (GSA) ASTRO contract vehicle under the Research Pool. ASTRO allows the government to acquire manned, optionally manned, and unmanned platforms and robotics systems. The pools encompass various services in support of maintenance and operations of these systems.
