SUCCESSFULLY MANAGING PROJECTS WITH MICROSOFT PROJECT 2016

This course is intended to provide the knowledge necessary to successfully managing projects using Microsoft® Project 2016. Industry best practices will be discussed to show you how to properly develop schedules. The need to know when the project will be completed, who will do the work, and how much will the project cost are just some of the basic questions of project management. Employing the methods discussed in this course will enable you to know where the project status is at any given point compared to the baseline, and also how to get the project back on track when there are schedule slips.

  • Successfully navigate the many features in the ribbon menu

  • Properly set up the schedule file

  • Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

  • Understand the schedule development process using industry best practices

  • Manage resources and adjust for resource conflicts

  • Explain baseline development and the importance of managing changes

  • Analyze schedule progress and demonstrate the schedule status process

  • Identify/analyze critical paths, work-around planning, risks, and resource impacts

  • Demonstrate setting up filters, groups, and tables for views

  • Customize the schedule output for reporting, presentations, and printing
